GREEN MOUNTAIN ELEMENTARY PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Thank you for your interest in our preschool program.  The program is a unique collaboration of our district based developmental special education preschool program, Head Start, and community student participation.  The developmental preschool team and Head Start work together seamlessly in our classroom as one team.

Developmental Preschool

If you have concerns about your child's development in any area, speech, fine or gross motor development, cognitive ability, or social skills, we recommend that you contact our Special Services Department at 662-1040 and request to speak with Cheri Brooks or Dawn Newkirk.  They will answer any questions that you may have about your child's development and may request that you set an appointment for a preschool screening.

Head Start/ECEAP

Head Start and ECEAP are programs for low income families living in Kitsap county, serving children 3-5 years of age.

Head Start and ECEAP offer families:

• Free Part-Day Preschool
• Free nutritious meals for children during class
• Developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Services for children with special needs
• Family Gatherings with parent/child activities
• Translation services available upon request
