Summer Reading Programs

Hi Green Mountain students.  Here is an opportunity to read over the summer and keep up your reading skills that you worked so hard on all year.  Click on the links below to participate in any or all of the summer reading programs.  You may use the same books for the different programs, just fill in the different forms and turn them in to the proper places for credit.

Barnes and Noble Reading Program

Click on the link above to the Barnes and Noble web site. It has lists of books for every grade level.  Read eight (8) books, list the titles on a sheet of paper or the form I gave your teacher, have your parents sign it and take it to a Barnes and Noble store and claim a free book.  You can do this two (2) times in the summer.  Read sixteen (16) books and get two (2) free books from Barnes and Noble.

Kitsap Regional Library

Click on the link above and then on Summer Reading.  If you read for ten (10) hours, you will get a free book from the library.  You need to go to your nearest public library and sign up for the program.  The public library has many fun events planned.  Go to the web site and find out about them.

Governor Gregoire's summer reading challenge
